Happy Monday! I hope you had a good weekend!
It was a weekend of knitting, coffee, and footed pj’s here. (and obviously, some yoga pants thrown in for good measure.)
We had a campout theme dinner, complete with tents in the living room.
I’m very over my wall decor that’s been the same for years so I repainted a couple canvases. I went with an ocean theme on one. What do you think? Will someone PLEASE come to my house and decorate it for me? pretty please?
I also realized how long it’s been since I left my family love notes, so I slipped some under pillows and into bedside pouches. (Also, I totally just realized I underlined the word LOVE on one note and not the other….let’s keep that to ourselves, shall we? oops)
I got a gift together for our eldest who will be turning six tomorrow. SIX!! ugh..it’s so big. 5 is still “little” to me so last year was no big. But six seems like a big kid. Also, notice this gift here…I’m pretty sure it’s the lamest, coolest six year old gift ever. Pick up stix, jacks, a bird call, cards and envelopes, and pencils that look like tree branches. She was thrilled, y’all. THRILLED! I love it.
Then, after going to see Mary Poppins with our big girls, we came home to surprise the birthday girl with a party! I have never lied so much in my life as that ride home trying to give excuses as to why there might be cars in our driveway. In retrospect, maybe I should have thought ahead a bit with my storyline. But she was so surprised!
I also did lots of unfun things like clean my carpets, clear ice off the driveway and sidewalk, and clean the whole house for guests to come over. But, it was a good weekend. It’s crazy (and maybe shameful, but I won’t think on that right now) what all I can accomplish during an analog weekend. What about YOU? Enjoy your weekend?
